As Mayor of the City of North Charleston, I am excited to welcome you to the 33rd Annual North Charleston Arts Festival. From humble beginnings as a one-day community celebration at Park Circle, the event has matured into one of the most comprehensive arts festivals in South Carolina featuring nine full days of free and ticketed programming throughout the City and surrounding area. The annual event unlocks our imaginations and gives all residents and visitors the opportunity to enjoy local, regional, and national artists presenting nearly 200 quality performances, exhibits, and activities in the areas of performing, visual, media, and literary arts.

The variety of Festival offerings and the inclusiveness of the event have become a point of pride for the City of North Charleston. It is a time of year when we are joined by thousands from throughout the Southeast to celebrate the importance of art within our world. I encourage you, your friends, and family to take advantage of the many fantastic arts and cultural offerings taking place May 1-9. There’s truly something for everyone.

Sincerely,
R. Keith Summey
Mayor
